The Subtle Discrimination of Society- Being a Girl
Hello all, I am a human being with no special abilities other than being a woman. When I still could define my age as a 'girl', I often found myself disturbed with the question, "Why am I not a boy?' Reason being the simple advantages that my fellow guy friends used to enjoy- I am not talking about the advantages of basic necessities of the welfare of a child. I was from a humble middle-class family with all the freedom (according to them) I could ask for. However, when it was dark outside and even though all the boys of my age were allowed to play outside, I had to come back home like a good girl and stay inside. When there were humid sunny climate and my guy friends were playing out, I was supposed to stay home to avoid tanning- it didn't help much in tanning though.
