The Subtle Discrimination of Society- Being a Girl

Hello all, I am a human being with no special abilities other than being a woman. When I still could define my age as a 'girl', I often found myself disturbed with the question, "Why am I not a boy?' Reason being the simple advantages that my fellow guy friends used to enjoy- I am not talking about the advantages of basic necessities of the welfare of a child.
I was from a humble middle-class family with all the freedom (according to them) I could ask for. However, when it was dark outside and even though all the boys of my age were allowed to play outside, I had to come back home like a good girl and stay inside. When there were humid sunny climate and my guy friends were playing out, I was supposed to stay home to avoid tanning- it didn't help much in tanning though. While the boys of my community were playing cricket and football or any games that needed the only good playground available, I and all my friends belonging to my gender were not even allowed in the playground as we girls do not need the ground to play as a priority. There are always dolls and fake family games for girls that moulds the ideal girl child's mind, right?!
There have been many such unwritten rules of society that decided my life. As I grew up, it became clear and clearer to me that society believes in norms and will discriminate the hell out of everything possible up to the minute detail.
Today much noise about gender equality has been created in the past decade, which I guess is a result of many girls like me bursting out about the injustices they have been facing with every breath they take.
Enough of my rant now. This topic is so vast that it is absolutely not possible through just a blog. I would love to have a proper conversation about it. However, I am sure even that could last for days without any solutions. There are numerous unfortunate girls around the world fighting for their simplest and basic rights with the norms of the so-called 'society'.
Share your story if you are reading. I would love to share your burden in my capability (which i know is not much in this matter).
